Women Riders in Bangalore: Ride with Tales on 2 Wheels
Tales on 2 Wheels is a mixed riding group. Women ride with us on their own motorcycles and as pillions, on day rides to the Western Ghats and on the long tours, and are a growing part of the club. Volunteer-run and not-for-profit: ride fees cover only stay, mechanic support and food, and the year-end surplus goes to children in need.
How every ride is run
A lead and a sweep rider
The group is paced for the group. A lead rider sets the pace; a sweep rider stays at the back, so nobody is ever last and alone.
Live GPS tracking
The crew can see every rider's position during the ride and regroup before anyone is left behind.
Emergency contacts on file
Collected when you register, with your blood group, so the crew is prepared before you need them.
A published meetup point
Each ride page names the meetup point in Bengaluru and the time: a petrol pump or food stop on the exit highway, early morning.
Riding solo, or pillion with a partner
Register as a solo rider on your own motorcycle, or as rider-with-pillion: the registration form captures the pillion's details so the crew plans seating and the stay around both of you. Any road-worthy motorcycle is welcome — Royal Enfields and 150–400 cc bikes ride in the same group as the superbikes.
Overnight rides and stays
On weekend and multi-day rides the stay is booked for the group from the registrations, and your accommodation choice is part of the form. Tell the crew your rooming preference on the form or by email before the ride; they arrange rooming you are comfortable with.
Start with an easy ride
Pick any upcoming ride marked easy or moderate — typically a 150–300 km day ride, back by the afternoon. Finish it with the group and you are a T2W Rider for the longer tours.
Questions women riders ask us
Can I ride pillion with my partner instead of on my own bike?
Yes. The registration form lets a rider register as rider-with-pillion, and pillion details are captured so the crew plans seating and the stay around you. Many women ride with T2W both ways — on their own motorcycles and as pillions.
How are stays arranged on overnight rides?
Your accommodation choice is captured when you register, and the crew plans rooms from those registrations. Tell the crew your preference on the form or by email before the ride — they will arrange rooming you are comfortable with.
Who do I contact before my first ride?
Write to Info@taleson2wheels.com with any question before you register, or message the lead rider named on the ride page. Every ride is run by a volunteer crew with a lead and a sweep rider, and the meetup point and time are published on the ride page.
